Bo Obama may not be able to make fetch happen—but he DOES have a new little sister. Meet the latest addition to the First Family, Sunny!
According to the White House’s website, Sunny, who is a Portugese Water Dog like Bo, was born in Michigan in June of 2012 and arrived at the White House this past Sunday. She’s apparently energetic and affectionate; Barack, Michelle, Malia, and Sasha named her for her cheerful personality. Here, take a look at Sunny and Bo in action:
Are they not the most adorable pups ever? I just want to go and romp around in the grass with them. Seriously. SO CUTE.
We’ve no doubt that Sunny will be more than up to the task of helping Bo out with such important duties as inspecting the White House’s holiday decorations and greeting guests during the Easter Egg Roll. But there will be plenty of time for fun, too; the First Lady hosted a “doggie play date” back in October, which we bet she’ll do again sometime in the future. The Obamas have also made a donation to the Washington Humane Society in honor of Sunny, so everybody wins.
